Kostrena is an old popular coastal town, first mentioned in the early 15th century. It is divided into two parts, Sv. Lucia and St. Barbara, according to the names of the two churches that exist in her area. Kostrena is located near the city of Rijeka, framed by the bay Martinšćica and Bakar Bay.
